About The Evergreen Forum The Evergreen Forum is a peer led, continuing education program offering day time courses for interested adults of the Princeton area. Its main purpose is to provide group study opportunities on topics selected by the membership, emphasizing participation and interaction. The Forum operates under the auspices of the Princeton Senior Resource Center. Membership is attained by enrolling in a course or leading a course. Members are encouraged to contribute to the administration and operation of the program by serving as officers, committee members, and seminar coordinators. In particular, all members are encouraged to offer to lead a course of their own choosing.
The Evergreen Forum is now in its eighth year and continues to grow steadily, with an active and enthusiastic membership. We are a volunteer organization: course leaders are not paid.
The governing body is the Evergreen Forum Steering Committee consisting of sixteen members. New members are appointed as needed by vote of the Steering Committee.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Registration applications may be sent with payment to the Princeton Senior Resource Center or delivered in person. Telephone applications are no longer accepted. Application forms are available on this web site or attached to the printed brochure. Scholarships are available.
There will be a lottery three weeks before the beginning of the term to select members for courses in which there are more applicants than the maximum set by the instructor. A waiting list will also be created and if openings occur, those on the waiting list will be invited to join the course in the order in which they are listed. Those not chosen will be phoned and may enroll in another course, receive a refund of the application fee, or, if wait-listed, postpone a decision until final enrollment is known. Applicants who have not been able to take a course because of over-enrollment will receive priority for a course in the following term. If you do not hear to the contrary, you may assume that you are enrolled in the course or courses for which you registered. Complete course information will be sent to registered participants at least two weeks before the first class meeting. Registration for open courses continues until the first class. Class members who withdraw from a course before the second meeting will receive a refund minus a $10 processing fee.
